The final version of RapidRep 4.0 is available to our customers since the beginning of October.

The latest and most important features in brief:

• the RapidRep Server architecture allows a highly efficient processing of numerous evaluations in a Cloud (SaaS)
• the fully new Server Monitor application gives an overview of al running, pending and completed processing sequences
• due to a new authentication system, the RapidRep Repository Manager allows adjusting single user rights individually and very flexible.From version 4.0 on, each LDAP compatible system can be used.
• the RapidRep Test Runner for HP Quality Center supports so-called Test Steps
• various smaller improvements regarding usability

Now it´s official: A functional demonstration has proven that the Connector, which connects the test components of the RapidRep Test Suite towards HP Quality Center, is fulfilling all requirements of HP Quality Center. The connection is supported since RapidRep 3.2 in the beginning of 2009 and has been field-tested by customers on the basis of HP Quality Center 9.x.

The RapidRep Data Testing Adapter has been adjusted to the latest version of the IBM Rational Quality Manager.

Finaris has added new features to the test adapter for IBM Rational Quality Manager and has been evaluated by IBM on Oct. 26th 2009. The test adapter fulfills all requirements needed to connect to IBM Rational Quality Manager.

The adapter provides several additional functions, for which it has received the “Best Practice” indicator by IBM. We are very happy that the integration and validation has been achieved in such a short time and look forward to implement this exciting combination for our customers.

The IBM Rational Quality Manager is based on the new Jazz platform and offers a very flexible and robust framework for quality management. The RapidRep Data Testing Adapter is selected if a test script is created and can be assigned to various test cases. By doing so, most RapidRep´s testing features are available inside the Rational Quality Manager.

The RapidRep Test Runner for IBM Rational Quality Manager receives the "Ready for Rational Software" award.

FINARIS has already developped the RapidRep Test Runner for IBM Rational Quality Manager early 2009 and has been evaluated at the end of October 2009 by the IBM staff. All criteria needed to operate with the IBM Rational Quality Manager have been validated successfully.

FINARIS has finished the connector for JIRA.

The bug and issue tracking software JIRA of Atlassian Pty Ldt. is very popular due to its very flexible workflow functionality and its low price. Therefore, FINARIS decided to integrate JIRA into RapidRep by implementing the RapidRep connector for JIRA. By doing so, RapidRep supports the increasing use of JIRA, which is free for open source projects.

Next to HP Mercury Quality Center, Mantis Bug Tracker, and IBM Rational ClearQuest Testmanager, another defect management system is added to our list of supported systems and the coverage of market leading third-party solutions is increased.

With the RapidRep Data Testing Adapter, FINARIS has successfully integrated IBM Rational Quality Manager into RapidRep.

RapidRep integrates now seamlessly into the graphical user interface and context sensitive help system of the web-bases solution of IBM. We are currently in the process of receiving validation by IBM to be allowed to hold the "Ready for Rational Software" markup.

From version 3.5.2 onwards the sub directory \demo contains two examples. These are referenced by the documentation and help to understand how RapidRep is working and how to make use out it.
